Wooo Hooo it has now been announced that Strictly Towcester, organised by the very amazing Viv Rhymes and her team from Step By Step dance school will this year be to raise funds for us! The event will be held on 24th October at Towcester Centre for Leisure, and tickets will be on sale VERY soon, so watch this space.
Step by Step is a dream made reality by Andrzej Mialkowski. The school was launched in 2005 in Brackley Northamptonshire, and has since aspired to great heights with many different aspects of the Dance World! Including travelling the world to compete in competitions, the most recent being Tracey Hales and Przemek Fokt in the VERY impressive New York City, prior to this was an amazing life changing trip to Poland, to compete in the Salt Cup, for which I had the pleasure to go along to, not to compete but to sight see!! Merrick Loggin and I toured the sights of this amazing country while his wife (Sue) was amongst the dancers who had the pleasure of competing. The dance school now provides excellent tuition and dance provision across three counties, Northamptonshire and its Henry Street Studio, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in the fantastic Headington Studios.
A team of both local heroes and professional dancers from the dance school will be donning pink and sparkles for this amazing event. Practice will commence in September, and we will be doing regular blogs on each of our dancers and how they are progressing. So far we have Michelle Eade (Lime Design Studio) Brian Ramoo (Mailing Manager) and Wendy Sheppard (who is representing the charity) all have their virgin just giving links set up ready to go!
